تدور أحداث الرواية حول مصطفي سعيد .. الذي أظهر ذكاءً منقطع النظير خلال مراحله التعليمية وخاصة في إجادة اللغة الإنجليزية غير أنه كان كتلة ذهنية مجردة من العواطف ، ذهب مصطفى سعيد إلى مصر لمواصلة تعليمه ثم إلى إنجلترا بمساعدة مسز روبنسون ، استوعب مصطفى سعيد حضارة الغرب استيعاباً تاماً لكنه لم يستطع تخطيها إبداعياً ولا مقاومتها مقاومة إيجابية فذاب في تلك الحضارة وأخذ يدرِّس الاقتصاد ويسوق الأكاذيب وينتحل الأسماء ليوقع الأوروبيات في حبائله ، وصار ينتقل من فريسة إلى أخرى وبسببه انتحرت ثلاث فتيات : آن ، شيلا ، ايزابيلا . عاد مصطفى سعيد أخيراً إلى قرية نائية في شمال السودان بعد سبع سنوات قضاها في السجن – في بريطانيا- لقتله لجين موريس التي لم يستطع إليها سبيلا ، وانتهت حياته غرقاً في النيل ، وأغلب الظن أن الغرق كان انتحاراً .

ألاصالة الصياغية :

أسلوب الطيب صالح أسلوب فريد متميز ، والقارئ العارف لهذا الأسلوب يستطيع أن يميزه من بين أساليب كثيرة ، الأمر الذي يؤكد الأصالة الصياغية للطيب صالح، كذلك وصفه لريف السودان الشمالي يعد وصفاً دقيقاً يعكس نشأة الطيب صالح الأولى في شمالنا الحبيب .

الأصالة الفكرية :

أما من ناحية الأصالة الفكرية فالرواية تدور أحداثها في قالب جنسي ، وهذا النوع من الأدب شاع وابتذل بدءً بنجيب محفوظ ، مروراً بإحسان عبد القدوس وأمين يوسف غراب وغيرهم ، وكثر القول في هذا الصدد حتى صدق عليه قول المتنبي :

قد أُفسِد ا لقول حتى أُحمِد الصمم

أما أفكار الرواية فهي أيضاً ليست أصيلة وندلل على ذلك بما أورده الأستاذ عبد القدوس الخاتم في مقال له بعنوان الطيب صالح بين الرمز والاقتباس ، قال :" إن غرفة نوم مصطفي سعيد بستائرها الوردية وأضوائها الزرقاء والأرجوانية والبنفسجية الموزعة بعناية وسجادها السندسي ومخداتها هي بعينها غرفة نوم من مسرحية (عربة أسمها الرغبة) لوليامز ، ويقول أيضاً ،" وهذا المشهد الأخير –قتل مصطفى سعيد لجين موريس- مقتبس بدهاء من مسرحية الدرس للكاتب الروماني أوجين اونيسكو " ويستمر الأستاذ عبد القدوس الخاتم في إيراد النصوص والمقارنة بين نصوص الرواية ا لمقتبس منها ونصوص رواية موسم الهجرة إلى الشمال ، ويبيّن مدى التطابق في الأفكار الكلمات ويورد مقتطفات كثيرة من مؤلفات ج . الفريد بروفورك و ت. س. اليوت وغيرهم .

من ناحية أخرى نجد أن علاقة مصطفى سعيد بأمه علاقة باردة جافة ، اسمع إليه وهو يصف لحظات الوداع بينهما : " لا دموع ولا قُبل ولا ضوضاء مخلوقان سارا شطراً من الطريق معاً ثم سلك كل منهما سبيله " ، هكذا في منتهى البساطة ، خلافاً لما عُرف عن السودانيين سيما أهل الريف !! ، وعلى النقيض نجد علاقة مصطفى سعيد بمسز روبنسون علاقة قوية حميمة ، فهي تستقبله معانقة ، وتطوقه بذراعيها ، وتراسله ، وتسأل عن أخباره ، وتعتبره ولدها ، وتبكي لأجله عند سجنه ، وإذا أخذنا في الحسبان أن الرواية موغلة في الرمزية ، وأن كلتا المرأتين – والدة مصطفى سعيد و مسز روبنسون- تمثلان ظلاً لحضارتيهما – السودانية والإنجليزية – تبين لنا عدم صدق هذه الفكرة لأنها فكرة استعمارية تنطق بلسانه وتتحدث بمشاعره وتشوه وجه الحقيقة ، وبالتالي فهي ليست فكرة أصيلة .

نقطة أخرى جديرة بالاهتمام هي هذه الروح المأساوية التي اكتنفت الرواية ، فإذا بررنا انتحار أن هلمند ، وايزابيلا سيمور ، وشيلا غرينود بأن ذلك يحدث كثيراً في أوربا ، فبماذا نبرر انتحار مصطفى سعيد وراوي القصة ، ثم قتل مصطفي سعيد لجين موريس ، وقتل حسنة لود الريس ، ثم انتحارها بعد ذلك ، لا شك أن هذا التواتر المأساوي لا يمثل البيئة السودانية إطلاقاً ، وما هو إلا انعكاس لقراءات الطيب صالح في الأدب الإنجليزي الممتلئ بالمأساة ، ومن أراد الدليل فليراجع مكتبة مصطفي سعيد التي هي انعكاس لمكتبة الطيب صالح ليرى أن أكثر الأدباء المذكورين مفرطون في تناول المأساة وعلى رأسهم توماس هاردي .

نقطة أخيرة نذكرها وهي الإباحية المطلقة التي تتحدث بها " بت مجذوب" وشربها للخمر وتدخينها للسجائر ، وكذلك إباحية ود الريس ، وجد الرواي الذي يضحك للحديث الماجن ويشارك فيه ويمسك مسبحته .. فهل هذه هي أخلاق أهلنا في الريف الشمالي .. لا شك أن الإجابة لا وألف لا ، فهي إن وُجِدت فحالة شاذة لأشخاص معدودين ، ولكن بهذه النسبة وهذه الطريقة حيث لا هم لجلّ أهل القرية إلا الجنس فهذا غير مقبول .. وبعد .. فهذا غيض من فيض ولكنه يكفي لنخلص منه إلى أن هذه الرواية لا تمثل المجتمع السوداني ، بل تنظر إليه من خلال عدسات غربية مائة بالمائة ، ويمكننا أن نقول في إيجاز إن رواية موسم الهجرة إلى الشمال ليست إلا "سودنة " رائعة لأفكار غربية .

اخى الكريم صقر قريش الطيب صالح من افضل الكتاب العالمين على الاطلاق ورواية موسم الهجرة الى الشمال رواية عالمية وترجمت الى خمس لغات وتدرس فى بعض الجامعات كجامعة اوهايو بالولايات المتحدة الامريكية وقد نال بها احد الاخوة المغاربة فى المغرب درجة الدكتوراه وتوجد بها تعابير رفيعة جدا تدل على اصالة الكاتب السودانى الطيب صالح ولكن اخوتنا المصريين لايعجبهم الاالكتاب المصرين فقط ولايجد الكتاب عندهم قيمة الالو كان كاتبه مصرى الان تجد ان المسلسلات السورية اقوى قصصها لها ابعاد عكس المصرية تماما وعلى سبيل المثال المسلسل التاريخى الجوارح والكواسر والبواسل ولكن المصرين لايحبون الاماهو مصرى فتجد احسان عبدالقدوس يقلل من شأن الطيب صالح لا لشى الا كونه غير مصرى
