ALL Versions Of Microsoft Windows OS
Windows 1.xx and 2.xx
http://i12.tinypic.com/4qyb3o2.jpg
Hey People, This is a Mirosoft Windows Operating System MEGATOPIC! This Post Has ALL versions of Microsofts Operating Systems including Windows 95, 98, ME, XP Vista and the Original Untouched version of Windows 3.1! Please Note: Windows 1.xx, 2.xx and 3.1 requires MS-DOS to install with and that Windows 95, 98 and Millennium (ME) require NO activation as they were the last version of windows that DID NOT require activation. They ALL have serials and Windows XP and Vista has activation included! -- Please Note: ALL Windows are 32-bit!
Information About Windows 1.xx:The original version of Microsoft Windows, which was announced in late 1983 and introduced in late 1985. Windows 1.0 was a DOS application that provided a rather awkward graphical interface and windowing environment. Its "MS-DOS Executive" was the launching pad for applications that were displayed in side-by-side windows that could not be overlapped with each other.
Windows 1.0 included a clipboard, calendar, clock, control panel, Notepad editor, Windows Write and Windows Paint, but it was not very popular.
Information about Windows 2.xx:An upgrade to Windows 1.0, introduced in 1987. Supporting overlapping, resizable windows and more color options, it was later renamed Windows/286 after Windows/386 was released. Windows 2.0 was still very DOS oriented. All display elements were two dimensional, and the MS-DOS Executive, which was the starting window, displayed directory lists not all that different than the Dir command in DOS.
Windows 2.0 was more popular than Windows 1.0, but was not widely used. In addition, it did not solve the one megabyte memory barrier in DOS, and PCs of that era were too slow to run a graphical interface with reasonable performance.

Windows 3.1
http://toastytech.com/guis/win31logo.gif
A major upgrade to Windows 3.0, introduced in 1992. It added support for multimedia, TrueType fonts, compound ********s (OLE) and drag & drop and also provided a more stable environment. Windows 3.1 ran 16-bit Windows and DOS applications but was unable to run subsequent 32-bit Windows programs written for Windows 95 and beyond. Within the same year of introduction, Windows 3.1 evolved into Windows for Workgroups 3.11, which added peer-to-peer networking and which was the last 16-bit Windows operating system.
After 32-bit Windows 95 was released, many 16-bit Windows 3.1 applications continued to run smoothly under Windows 95 and subsequent versions (98, NT, etc.). However, although 32-bit supports long file names, Windows 3.1 applications support only the 8.3 naming convention in which file names cannot contain more than eight characters.

Windows 95
http://www.dal.co.kr/grim/5080205_windows95_logo.jpg
The first 32-bit Windows operating system and a major upgrade to Windows 3.1. Introduced in August 1995, it added a completely redesigned user interface featuring the Start menu and Taskbar. The Windows 3.1 interface (Program Manager and File Manager) was also included as an option. Windows 95 became popular very quickly.
Major Improvements
Windows 95 improved networking and added long file names and Plug and Play, the latter a welcome relief for users. Memory limitations, plaguing users in Windows 3.1, were greatly diminished. Windows 95 also included preemptive multitasking, which allowed programs to be timeshared together more effectively than in Windows 3.1.
No More Booting DOS First
Windows 95 was the first Windows that booted directly. Previously, Windows 3.1 was loaded after the machine booted into DOS. In Windows 95, DOS was built in.

Windows 2000 Professional
http://r5g.org/up/uploads/47e0ad50bd.jpg
Also called "Win2K" and "W2K," Windows 2000 was a major upgrade to Windows NT 4, launched in early 2000. Available in one client and three server versions, Windows 2000 added support for Plug and Play. Windows 2000 uses the same interface as Windows 95/98, but added considerably more features, dialogs and options.
From NT Domains to Active Directory
Windows 2000 supports Active Directory, which replaces NT's domain system and makes network administration simpler. This is a major redesign of the directory structure for companies. Windows 2000 is more stable than NT and is designed to eliminate erroneous replacement of DLLs when applications are installed.
Versions
Windows 2000 Advanced Server is similar to Windows NT Server, Enterprise Edition, which supports clustering and automatic failover in the event of a system failure. Windows 2000 DataCenter Server supports more advanced clustering and is the top server offering. Windows 2000 Professional is the client version.

Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition
http://ruel.net/pc/winxp-mce-oem.jpg
A digital media server version of Windows XP Pro designed to house a multimedia collection and integrate home entertainment with common PC applications. The MCE version of Windows typically runs in a "Media Center" PC, which is a standard PC equipped with a CD or DVD burner, TV tuner and slots for camera memory cards. The Media Center interface is included in the Home Premium and Ultimate versions of Windows Vista.
Using the mouse or a handheld remote control, the PC can be instantly switched between standard Windows and the Media Center's "10-foot user interface" for organizing and accessing audio, video and images. With a TV tuner, the Media Center machine can also serve as a digital video recorder (DVR) that schedules and records TV programs from an antenna, cable or satellite source.
If a user has a Windows PC with the Media Center interface, but does not have an entertainment requirement, the machine can be used just like any other Windows computer.
A PC and Digital Media Server
Media Center Edition (MCE) machines come in models that look like either regular PCs or A/V components, the latter designed for placement within the stereo or home theater cabinet. A/V vendors create amazingly flexible digital media servers by enhancing the hardware and software. Such devices use a wireless keyboard and mouse for living room use.
If a Media Center PC is not located near or in the home entertainment rack, it can stream ******* to Media Center Extenders (digital media hubs) or Xboxes anywhere in the house via a wired or wireless network attachment.

Windows Vista
http://img14.imgspot.com/u/07/151/12/vis.JPG
Microsoft released Vista, its first new Windows operating system in five years, on January 30, 2007 (November 30, 2006, for businesses).
The name Vista replaced "Longhorn," the codename in use for the beta version of the program.
Some new features include security improvements, new graphics, and a new means of searching and organizing information. The use of virtual folders will prevent users from having to remember the single folder where something is stored. Microsoft is also trying to simplify a variety of other tasks, such as adding a PC to a home network or connecting a laptop to a projector.
