المضارع المســـــتمر The present Continuous Tense
===============================
1- يتكون من am-is-are + infinitive + ing

2- عندما يتكون الفعل infinitive من مقطع واحد و ينتهى بحرف ساكن يسبقه حرف متحرك a,e,i,o,u نضاعف الحرف الأخير
hit, hitting
run, running
stop, stopping
cut, cutting
put, putting
sit, sitting

3- عندما يتكون الفعل من مقطعين و ينتهى بحرف ساكن قبله حرف متحرك a,e,i,o,u
يضاعف هذا الحرف الأخير بشرط أن يقع الضغط عليه ( نطقه بقوة أو بفترة أطول )
begin, beginning
prefer, preferring
admit, admitting
أما الفعل enter فنلاحظ أن الضغط ليس على المقطع الأخير لذا
enter, entering

4- الفعل الذى ينتهى بـ (L) يسبقه حرف متحرك a,e,i,o,u نضاعف حرف l
travel, travelling
signal, signalling

5- لا يستخدم المضارع المستمر مع الأفعال الآتية :
- أفعال الشعور see - hear - smell - notice
- أفعال التفكير think - feel - realize- know- understand
believe- mean- expect- remember - forget- recall- trust
- أفعال العاطفة want- desire- refuse- forgive - wish - care- love- hate- like - dislike
- أفعال الملكية own- owe- belong- possess
- الأفعال المساعدة كلها ما عدا BE - HAVE
- أفعال أخرى و هى
appear يبدو - contain يحتوى على - consist يتكون - keep يستمر
concern يخص - matter يهم

يستخدم فى الحالات التالية :
1- حدث مستمر الآن لحظة الكلام و تدل عليه الكلمات
!now- at this moment- at present- still- look! - listen
It is raining
Look! the car is running madly
I am not wearing the coat because it's not raining
Listen, birds are singing
She is still making the beds
At this moment the boys are playing

2- حدث يقع لكن ليس بالضرورة لحظة الكلام
I am reading a book by Taha Hussein

3- حدث سيقع فى المستقبل مخطط له مسبقاً
I am going to the theatre tonight

4- يستخدم مع بعض أفعال الحواس بشرط أن يكون حدث متعمد من الفاعل
The police are watching the house
Don't make noise your father is listening to the radio
Why are you looking at the car ?

النفى و الإستفهام Negative and Interrogative

ينفى بوضع not أو n't بعد الفعل المساعد am-is-are
She is working
She isn't working

They are playing
They are not playing


و لعمل سؤال يجب تبديل مكان الفاعل مع الفعل المساعد
She is working
Is she working

I am cooking
are you cooking?
نلاحظ تحول I الى you لوجود محادثة ( المتكلم أصبح مخاطب )
